![]() ![]() Blur Studio was probably the instigator of PyMax. ![]() Somehow after 3 to 4 years Autodesk is supporting this, it doesn't seem te have a great community still, or have well known examples. In my modest opinion MaxPlus, Qt (PySide2) combined with the Python syntax are potentially a great tool for making beautiful scrips in 3ds Max, but. 3ds Max delivers it with the standard python27 library, and PySide2, speaking about an 'unpythonic' library. MaxPlus on the other hand is a python interface to the c++ api, so way much faster and has many pros (but also cons) to maxscript or even c++ (or c#) itself. But ok, lets react to it: Using the pymxs is slow, it's an interface to maxscript, that's what makes it slow, you could use this but doesn't make that much sense, why not just make a straight maxscript?! This is an old-old, -one to one copied comment from another thread.
